Retired Partner Consultant

Rosenberg Associates is looking for retired CPA firm managing partners or executive committee members to work with us on a part-time basis in our CPA firm consulting practice. You may be well suited for this role if you would like to stay in the game, supplement your income, work with a team and continue to share your expertise with the profession.

Please note: we are not actively seeking someone for this role at this time, however we are always interested to hear from potential candidates, even if your retirement is a few years off. 

The Role

  • Work with small to mid-sized CPA firms on practice management-related matters, e.g.
    • Partner retreat facilitation/strategic planning
    • MP/Partner coaching
    • Advising firms on client service processes, managing client responsibilities, transition of clients between partners, training, and mentoring of staff, etc.
    • Updating their partnership agreement and governance structure
    • Defining or updating their buyout plan
    • Designing a new equity-partner compensation system for their firm
    • Practice management reviews

  • Choose your schedule: Take the projects you want, skip the ones you don’t.
    • Hours will vary depending upon consulting opportunities that come our way, plus occasional internal meetings.
    • We can exclude from your work any firms that are competitive with your former firm.
  • Minimal admin work: we will take care of contracts with clients, invoicing, collections, and more.

Requirements

  • Served 10+ years as a managing partner or executive committee member with of a CPA firm with $7M - $40M in annual revenue.
  • Philosophical alignment with Rosenberg Associates on CPA firm best practices (we will review this during a video call).
  • Willingness to be trained on and use our materials, processes and templates in your work with clients.

  • Must live/work in the continental U.S. (48 states).

Compensation

  • Percentage of collections.
  • Additional percentage for leads you generate that are not already in our client base.
